The Development Committee is committed to encouraging development that enhances the quality of life for residents and maintains harmony with the existing historic neighborhood. It meets from time to time as events warrant to consider matters concerning development, licensing, and zoning that may have an impact on the neighborhood and makes recommendations on these proposals to the BFSNA board.

The Committee reviews development proposals before the Boston Redevelopment Authority, as well as licensing requests before the City of Boston Licensing Board and zoning requests before the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Developers with project proposals within or adjacent to BFSNA boundaries are invited to contact us early in the process to present their plans to the Committee.

Members of our neighborhood association who have an interest in development issues are strongly encouraged to join the committee.
